THIS NICE 1966 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE HAS BEEN RESTORED IN RECENT YEARS BY THE ORIGINAL OWNER, NEXT OWNER AND NOW THE CURRENT OWNER IN BRANDON,MISSISSIPPI. THE CAR HAS A NEW PONY INTERIOR, NEW CONVERTIBLE TOP AND BOOT AS WELL AS THE FOLLOWING MECHANICAL ITEMS, NEW BRAKES AND WHEEL CYLINDERS, NEW DRIVE SHAFT AND EXHAUST MANIFOLD, REBUILT C4 TRANSMISSION, CARBUERATOR, HOSES, BELTS, SPARK PLUGS, BATTERY AND COOLING SYSTEM FLUSH AND FILL. FRONT SUSPENSION COMPONENTS HAVE BEEN REPLACED ALSO. THE CURRENT OWNER HAD EXTENSIVE WORK DONE AT CLASSIC RESTORATIONS LOCATED IN GLUCKSTADT, MS.
THIS INFORMATION IS FROM THE CURRENT OWNER OF THE 1966 MUSTANG. When I bought the 1966 red Mustang convertible from Marcus Ellis on October 21, 2022, Marcus told me that he had bought it from a woman whose husband had not driven the car for five years due to a stroke. Marcus said that the husband, who was the original owner, had done a “frame up restoration” right before he had the stroke, and then he was unable to drive the car. Marcus said that when he bought the Mustang, he immediately put in a new gas tank, new fuel pump, and new fuel lines. (Marcus Ellis lives in Walnut Grove, MS, and has been restoring and selling antique cars since his retirement.)
